Update #1 First draft
Dear John,
Attached is an image of the first casting of the tiny skull.
I'm not thrilled with the level of detail so I will make a mold, reproduce this skull and redetail it for a finished item which can be reproduced an estimated 15 times to populate the circumference of your ring. Let me know your thoughts.
Sincerely,
Patrick Burt

Update #2 Wax
Dear John,
I just wanted to share with you this image of the work in progress. This shows how the ring has to be assembled, piece by piece. I've made molds of two different skulls which enables me to produce the sixteen copies required for the entire circumference of the ring. Each wax skull must then be carefully glued into place with a third different kind of wax. After assembly the whole structure is cast. More on that tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Patrick Burt

Update #3 Casting
Dear John,
I must apologize, I just realized that I've missed the deadline of the first of August. I've been so busy moving my studio I lost track of time.
Attached is an image of the rough casting from last night. I'll be setting the silver beads and finishing today and tonight. I'll send another image tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Patrick Burt
