Update #1 Spaulding's Furniture Restorations is interested in your CustomMade project

Dear Victoria,
I'd love to build one of these for you! I'll get a proposal over to you right away. I recently built a table in this style, and it came out beautiful. I've attached some pictures of it. I look forward to working with you soon!

Update #2 New Leaf Design is interested in your CustomMade project

Hello Victoria. How are you? Hope well. I was very excited to come across your project posting. Would you have an interest in a smaller, Saarinen style side table? I am currently working with a Knoll tulip base that I came across and it had sadly been missing its top. My idea is to incorporate the design genius of both Saarinen and also Nakashima. I am making the table top with a naturally oval shaped, live edge burled walnut top. I may be able to help you with the dining table, as well. I have a couple of contacts for a base. Would you have an interest in the dining table top being executed in burled walnut or something else unique? Hope to hear back from you! I live only a short drive from Cranbrook and often visit. Have you been there?
All the best to you.

ps..... you Must be familiar with the famous Time magazine Saarinen qoute about his tulip line...."clear up the slum of legs in the U.S. home."
What a classic! :>)

Update #3 New Leaf Design has sent you a message about your Table

Hello Victoria. Thanks for the reply and your nice compliments. I have had a passion for mid-century design for a number of years. Clean and simple, yet beautiful. The material and form speak for themselves. My current work is focused on bent-wood sculpture from reclaimed wood. I try to incorporate some vintage pieces in my work. Attached is an image of a reclaimed, (damaged) Dansk/Quistgaard Teak cutting board that we have turned into a sculpture.
Last....would you have an interest in the end table that I am working on? I can make a walnut burl top for it in a perfect circle or oval form. Clean edges as you have mentioned. Well, Thanks for your time and interest and hope to talk to you soon.

Update #4 Table top glue up, and pictures of the wood

Dear Victoria,
I have gotten the top glued up, and I took a few shots of the process. I thought that I'd share them with you. I'll be cutting the top to shape tomorrow, after the glue has set up. I'll send you some pictures of the base when it arrives. With any luck, it will be in time for delivery by thanksgiving.

Update #5 The top cut to shape

I have cut the top to shape, it came out wonderfully! I'll be cleaning up the edges later, and profiling them. This is some amazing wood!

Update #6 Table is complete!

Dear Victoria,
The base arrived yesterday, and I finished the top as well. I assembled the table this morning, and it looks great! I can deliver the table this Saturday if that works for you. If you like what you see, please send the final payment like you did before so my delivery expenses are covered. I look forward to meeting you soon.
