The walnut in this set all came from a tree that I noticed from the 101 freeway in Ukiah.It turned out that the City of Ukiah owned the tree and wanted to take it out. I traded them a conference table for the logs.

The curly cherry came from a sawmill in Pennsylvania, Horizon Hardwoods. These … guys have figured out how to tell which cherry logs are curly before the log is opened up. The put the curly logs aside and saw them through and through and then email me pictures of the flitches. I choose the ones that I want.
