A dining table of solid ash. Table top and aprons have gently curved profiles. The table edge has been hand-carved, and the legs and aprons have aggressively hand-planed surfaces. The contrast of these textured surfaces with the polished top give the piece an unusual sensibility--somewhere between refined and primitive. The design could be modified to suit tables of various sizes and could also be provided with leaves to extend the size.
