This custom dry bar is a melding of Victorian and contemporary styling with details such as sliver-gilded finials and feet. It was designed to fit into a corner with a busy traffic pattern, hence the elliptically rounded edge to keep from banging your hip. The Tulipwood panels have dramatic red-yellow coloring that looks as if flames were licking at the framework. The arches on the decorative backsplash were steam-bent so the grain follows the tight curve. The elliptical door is sized to hold liquor bottles and swings on a large piano hinge for durability.
