This cutting board exemplifies ergonomic, sophisticated design. Edge-grained Hard White Maple is a premium surface for preserving blade sharpness. The rounded Eidolon ogee handles at each end make transport safe and easy while offering a sleek overhang for raking off choppings. Large non-slip polyurethane bumpers are secured to the bottom of the board. Stains used for coloration of ends are water-soluble powders, which are sealed with a high-performance waterborne acrylic urethane. Stain and sealer are both non-toxic. Overall food grade mineral oil finish. An occasional disinfectant spray after cutting poultry and meats is advised, along with a food-grade mineral oil rub down whenever the maple looks dry.
