The clients have a love of Elephants. They asked if I could design some elements to use in their new kitchen. We came up with this design to be used in place of the legs for the Island unit . The four large Heads are located on the corners of the Island Unit with the ears splaying slightly along … each side. The two smaller heads are the brackets for the Range hood.
In the photo you can see a clay model I made for approval of the design prior to gluing up and carving the actual heads out of Walnut.
Two of the heads have hollow tubes to allow electrical service to be run to the Island Unit.
