Enamel Necklace Winged Guardian Angel, sterling silver pendant

One night during a very painful flare up of being violently ill, not knowing whether or not it would be another emergency room visit this image kept showing up in my head. I kept praying the pain would end. This image is my angel … guardian during difficult times. She gets me through to the other side.

The original angel body was created out of sterling silver using the old ancient technique of repousse where sheet silver is placed in a bowl of pitch tar and then carefully sculpted with steel doming tools. She is now molded and able to be cast.

The wings are all hand sawed and hammered. The cloisonné enamel heart is fired up to 14 times and then sanded down to a high polish before it is carefully set in sterling with a dab of 14 karat gold. The sterling silver oxidized cable chain can be worn at any length up to 18" The pendant measures 2"L x 1 1/4" W.
