We love our piece because it incorporates functional space perfectly with a sense of humor. The use of odd bits and pieces in surprising places, and the colors of her design reflect a sense of whimsy which is a unique quality of the artist Laura Silber.
This piece was designed for a media room to go under a flat-screen TV. Interior designer chose colors to coordinate with furnishings in the room, playing off a red antique rocking chair that is a family favorite.
Antique iron grate allows remote control access to components behind the door. Case is Dragon's Blood Red, door & drawers are Farmhouse Blue. Top is 1 1/4" thick reclaimed fir, in a 2-tone finish, Apricot Yellow over Goldenrod.
