A stained glass side-lite (window next to a door) enhances this home's entry both indoors and out. It greets guests as they approach the front porch yet obscures the home's interior. Inside it splashes color on the wall and floor as the sun moves across the sky. Coral and white opalescent glass, pink and shades of blue mouth-blown (antique) glass, and clear iridescent glass are arranged according to the pattern of a particular butterfly's wings. The owners' small collection of mounted and framed butterflies was only half the inspiration for the lyrical design. The other half was music: The couple had also collected Broadway show albums.
