We have made a number of variations of this design in both expanding dining table and console forms. Inspired by a marble topped empire console we once repaired for a local antique dealer, we are fascinated with the design's adaptability to both contemporary and traditional surroundings. By adding center or edge inlays to the top or by combining paint and natural figured woods, the design can be adapted to almost any decor.
