The curved island is everybody's favorite piece in this compact kitchen. The island also houses a micro-wave oven and a drawer, out of view from the adjacent family room, as well as a solid cherry top with a hand 'distressed' finish. Many special interior cabinet fittings were employed for ease of storage and to make access easier for the homeowner. A hand applied 'glazed' finish was used to compliment other areas in the home which include much original woodwork.
