Federal Painted Chair
CustomMade by William Doub
The original versions of this antique reproduction chair are now housed in the Winterthur Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. They were made for the Elias Hasket Derby house in Salem, Massachusetts about 1820. A client saw a photograph of these chairs and ordered 20 for their dining room.
The colors
… in the painted plume were changed slightly to accommodate the contemporary client's wishes. The upholstery is also a contemporary design, and is not to period style.
You may see more pictures of this and other chairs on my website.

Library Ladder in the Style of Napoleon III
by N Jul 31st 2012
Ever since you squeezed the Book Steps through the passage in a non-Euclidean post-physics miracle, I have been exuberantly playing with it. Its functionality is obvious but its aesthetic presence is overwhelming. Guests immediately are drawn to it and are transformed by it. Thank you so very, very much……….. Please keep in touch.
