This is a Federal Style small dressing glass. It is made of mahogany with birds eye maple drawer fronts. It also features what is called a lunette banding around the edge of the table top. This banding was constructed in my shop using approx. 60 birds eye maple plugs cut and shaded one at a time by burning them in hot sand. This is a traditional element often used by John and Thomas Seymour of Boston and offers a dramatic effect
