After visiting Sea World I was inspired to create this piece to show off the playfulness of the dolphin. I used lampwork glass created by felllow artist friend Jan Locander and incorporated it as the focal of the design. Flipper is jumping over the lovely blue waves depicted in the glass. I continued the nautical theme by fabricating the bail into a fish design. The pendant has been strung with alternating sodalite nugget beads and cobalt blue seed beads to pick up the colors in the glass.
Dimensions
The glass is 35mm round and bezel set in a sterling silver pendant 45mm x 70mm (Approx. 1-3/4" x 2-1/2") with 20" beaded length.
