She had seen these doors in a magazine ad and hire a carpenter to install them. She asked me to design the foyer around them. I thought about 1&1/4" by 5" with one edge beaded for the casings, plinth blocks, a nice cornice for the doorway and and a tall wainscot, American Arts n Crafts style (to follow the doors). I sketched it, she liked it and (after the carpenter installed the doors), we adorned the interior. With a good paint job, it turned out handsome.
