This clever design is said to have been invented by Benjamin Franklin and is a neat 2-in-1 piece.
It is a great for the kitchen where you might need an extra seat, and a step or two up, but don't have room for both a chair and a step stool.

Simply pull the back of the seat forward, spin it around, and now you have 3 safe steps up to reach whatever you might need to get at.
This particular piece was made from some contrasting pines that I had, and finished with linseed oil.
