Free Standing Art Glass Sculpture With Fused Glass Elements - Three Coins In The Fountain

This piece combines traditional stained glass and fused glass elements to create a free standing glass sculpture. The inspiration for this piece was the Frank Sinatra hit of the same name. My goal was to express the flowing lines and muted colors of the Trevi fountain in Rome. Building the base
… was an opportunity to capitalize on the watery feel of glass. The three coins were hand crafted by me and each have "amore" (love) embossed on them. The base is made of slate with the wood posts and rail securely anchored and has a wood frame.
Because it is free standing, this piece can be placed on a table, a desk, a room divider or a counter. It can be viewed from all angles and looks stunning with ambient light.
