This project was a restoration of a previous neglected entryway. The door is the original door from 1949. It
had many coats of old paint that had to be sanded down. We added the shelf with the dental molding to the outside of the door to give it a more craftsman feel and to match the rest of … the entryway. A new coat of black paint was then applied and new hardware installed. The ceiling
of the entry way was torn down to expose the framing on the vaulted ceiling. NEF installed the tongue and groove board on the ceiling and added the crown molding to
add detail, add to the craftsman feel, and create a layered look to the room. A new Anderson storm door was installed and a custom coat hook was made. The final
touch was to find a light fixture that matched the feel of
this 1940's craftsman entryway
