The clients chose American Beech (Fagus granoifolia) as the lumber of choice due to its ability to frame the copper panels dramatically while offering a warm color and pleasant grain pattern.   The beech door and drawer pulls are reminiscent of the Heywood Wakefield style and impart an odd retro-modern touch that worked well.  The copper features a cold process verdigris patina I developed utilizing saw shavings that permanently bond with the copper producing a stunning textured three dimensional panel.  Finished with a clear satin lacquer"
