Wall Unit with Ash Lattice Top, "I was asked to design a simple shelving unit that would be appropriate for easy access to an LP collection as well as a sizeable collection of pre-Columbian sculpture. It seemed to me that the home it was going into was quite lovely and could support an arts and craft look. I also felt that the painted charcoal backing would give the sculptures a museum display feel.Since the units were on either side of the door, I felt I needed the upper lattice work to tie it all together. The room it is now in is a glassed-in porch off the main living room with lots of light and ash seemed to be the right wood for the lattice work."
