"Originally commissioned as a liquor cabinet, the elliptical cabinet's stream lined curves were inspired by the elegance of the art deco movement. The undulating forms of the handles, along with the asymmetry of the design add a contemporary playful flair. The solid wood base, top and handles are all facetted and stained dark to add contrast and energize the curved planes. This cabinet has asymmetrical shelving behind the doors. On top shelves are appropriately placed for glasses on one side, bottles on the other. The bottom was left open to accommodate other storage needs."
