I worked with the homeowner on their design and sketched up something that I knew was right on for them. Challenge with this piece is that it needs to be moved in and out of suburban homes and apartments, so it needs the ability to disassemble easily. The bed is solid when assembled, but comes apart in 5 pieces. The headboard was so simple, but it really brings out the style and flavor of the wood: Solid Walnut. I love it when a modern design really encompasses and exploits my favorite furniture medium: beautiful wood."
