Italian Renaissance table, "The Italian Renaissance table is 10 feet 6 inches long by 5 feet 6 inches wide, and is solid walnut. The trestle base is comprised of two band sawn walnut pedestals, joined by a top and lower stretcher that is glued, tenoned and bolted together. The upper trestle arms are 2 inches thick, 4 inches wide tapering to the outsides, and are tenoned and glued in to the pedestal tops and the trestle base. The top is distressed to imitate early Renaissance workmanship and many exposed parts are band sawn to decorative shapes consistent with 400-year-old European design and workmanship. The finish is stain and lacquer, rubbed out and distressed to give the impression of an antique look. The table weighs over 250 pounds."
