Christus Rex (Chris The King)
Before all else I am a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. This piece is in my father-in-law’s Lutheran Church in the Hudson Valley and is an enlargement of a 19th century German ivory that was an heirloom belonging to the pastor. The skills I have are God-given and I do all my art “as unto the Lord”, but especially my pieces for worship settings.
I have made a covenant with the Lord that I will no longer do crucifixes of Jesus dying or dead, for our Lord is Risen, Alive, and Glorified, and is no longer on the cross: Every piece I create will reflect this profound Truth.
If you would like my interpretations of “Christ the Victor” or “Christ the King”, or other original inspirational artworks that declare the present and coming Kingdom of God, please call me to share your vision. I have many other ideas in my sketchbook including dynamic sculptures of warrior angels and relief carved wall art carved from exotic rare burls.
I believe that God’s original purpose for the Artist was prophetic, and it is my hope that in some small measure my work can contribute to a new Christian “iconography” for the Church in the 21st century, something that helps His people to more fully experience the Life and Liberty of Christ.

Shipping & Installation Information
Most shipping will be done by UPS and their current rates will pertain. FedEx or USPS may be substituted if appropriate. Oversized items, such as mantelpieces, will be shipped FOB by common carrier. I will personally deliver items by arrangement. Installations will be handled on an individual basis.
I am able to directly serve a driving radius of 100 miles from Port Jervis, New York, and will travel farther by special arrangement. I can reach the rest of North America, and most of the world, by modern shipping. I have found that the Internet and unlimited phone and fax services allow almost all communication to be as convenient as chatting over the back fence. And, for those who enjoy a day in the Catskills, my studio is always open.
