Marble and Maple kitchen table, This is a kitchen table built of hard Maple. I used Curly maple around the edge of the top, giving it a bit of an ornate look on a simple table. I built it to be rock solid. It is extremely heavy, maybe 400 or 500 pounds. The top is inset 12"x12" marble tile, but could just as well be whatever you want, one piece granite, natural stone or ceramic tile.
