"Floating Top" Sofa Table

Naked Tree Woodworking Grass Valley, California

We've named this handsome Table "Floating Top" because the curved skirt is lowered, making the Top appear to be floating above the supports. This Table can be used as a sideboard in a dining room, or as a sofa table. Skirt and Legs are Walnut. The Top is 1 1/2 inches thick and has been cut from Spalted Maple sapwood, leaving attractive bark details in opposite corners. The Top has been further adorned with linear Walnut inlays. The item has been finished with many coats of a Tung Oil mixture assuring lasting beauty.
