Contemporary trestle table
The base of this table is built with a breakdown design using a through tenon and wedge system. The cherry top is made from a pair of book matched boards 23inches wide by 9 feet long. The breadboard ends are attached to the top using draw pegs, this allows the top to expand and contract while holding the top flat. The tops edge is aggressively rounded on the underside giving a very clean and almost floating appearance when viewed from above and at an angle. Chairs were by others.
