Philadelphia lowboy
E. Jacobsen Furniture Maker
Kirkwood, Pennsylvania
This lowboy is based on a terrific lowboy in the Garvan collection in the Yale university museum of art. It has a desirable deep case, with crotch walnut drawer fronts, and Londonderry Brass. Built in the exact fashion as the original with a mortise and tenoned case and hand cut dovetailed drawers. All carving was completed meticulously by hand. Finish is shellac.
