The New Empire Sofa is handcrafted with a solid 1 1/4 inch thick solid maple frame using mortise and tenon joinery. The sofa\'s front is inlaid with a decorative marquetry banding. All exposed wood is finished with hand rubbed oil and wax. The New Empire Sofa is upholstered with eight way hand tied coil springs and is padded with all natural horsehair and cotton. The cushions are stuffed with down and feathers. Shown here in white oak.
