The Spider Bench

This design was inspired by the profile of a spider. The gentle curves of the Spiders " Legs" are super comfortable. Combining sculpture with usefulness is appealing to me. The finish shows the beauty of the wood that most people hide or paint. The majority of the piece is made of pine with a bit of poplar for contrast. This bench seats two but similar pieces can be produced to seat up to six.
