These awesome and very sea-worthy canoes typically weigh just 65-70 lbs and can carry 600 lbs. With a minor tumblehome and medium rocker, these craft maneuver single-handed almost as easy as two person. Any one looking to step in to the best in canoeing would do well to try a wooden Prospector. We will custom build your canoe traditionally with 64 steam bent oak ribs, or in a more modern fiber glass-over-wood style. The Prospector also makes a great sailing canoe with the addition of lee boards, rudder, and sail which we also custom make to your specific needs."
