"Hanna�s Custom Carpentry custom builds cabinetry and furniture to fit our client�s space and needs. This reproduction of a Shaker style sewing table was built using simple lines and strong joinery. The very simple yet elegant design shows a traditional square top with double drawers hung from the underside. The drawers have built in solid wood runners that slide into their mate attached to the underside of the table. The drawers are accessible from both sides of the table to accommodate 2 people. The top rests upon a slender turned post which is attached to three legs with sliding dovetail joints. The wood species used, Padauk is not a traditional wood used in the Shaker style. Although it gives a very warm rich look to a timeless design."
