"Based on a piece at the Winterthur museum, this secretary features veneer and inlay work of the highest caliber. The cylinder fall slides open to reveal pigeon holes and small drawers surrounding a central compartment. The writing slide pulls forward for ease of use. Two large drawers beneath the writing surface provide storage. The bookcase has adjustable shelves and features doors with restoration glass held by arched muntins. The inlaid cornice is surmounted by a hand-carved eagle. Wood: mahogany, with veneers of mahogany, satinwood, holly, and zebrawood"
