"This contemporary 'partners desk', designed by Robert Hillier and built by Birdie Miller Designs, is made of select, quartered & figured English sycamore. The top is leather, set even with the top wood frame. The supporting brace under the desk is custom fabricated stainless steel. Unseen, in the bottom of the drawer cabinet is 400 lbs of counter weights to balance this dynamic design. A few words about Furniture Furniture can be a fun, creative and a functional expression of your life style. There are 'simply', NO LIMITS as what can be designed and built. We enjoy mixed media projects and have had experience in many materials, including natural stone, metals, leather, solid surface, plastic laminate, and glass, (etched, stained and beveled). Whether the piece you want is traditional, contemporary, eclectic or artistic, as you've seen, we can built it!
