Weathertop Woodcraft
Weathertop Woodcraft creates custom wood mandalas and dimensional carved wood signs. The word \"mandala\" is Sanscrit meaning magical circle. These art pieces, fashioned from reclaimed old growth redwood and cypress elvolve in an 18 step process beginning with wood selection and milling through design to final finish. The wood itself represents something that grew with sun, soil, and water of 500-800 years ago - an inspiring timeline especially in our nano second age. It is my intention to offer these as a means of showcasing the beauty of this wood developing designs that reflect my interests and expierence in carving, etching, and illustration. Embellished with carved leaf designs and etching as unique as the wood itself, these former water tank boards are reworked accentuating color, pattern and grain qualities to create custom, one of a kind art. In Addition to being displayed in private homes, these pieces have come to be in physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, and accupunture offices. They are wonderful to touch, an excellent source of centering and calm for meditation and yoga as well as being quality personal gifts and family heirlooms. Mandala leaf sculptures are available in 11\", 17\", and 23\" diameters with commision and personalized work also offered. Weathertop also designs dimensional carved wood signs.
