Richard Massey Design
A fourth generation woodworker, Richard apprenticed to his Grandfather and Father before college studies in the disciplines of Architecture and Furniture Design. After college he sit up shop in the Ozark Mountains arts community of Eureka Springs, Ar. There he partnered to open the towns first high end crafts gallery, while designing & building shop interiors, musicial instruments, furniture and a passive solar house. His business expanded to eight employees, doing business with galleries, craft & museum shops, Architects & Interior Designers from coast to coast. In 2008, in search of a source for Port Orford Cedar, Richard moved from the mountains of Northwest Arkansas to the central Oregon Coast. The new Bow Arm Outdoor Collection came about from requests by several Interior Designers wanting interior quality furniture that would hold up to the elements for outdoor use, particularly the outdoor living space. The collection is built using reclaimed Redwood, Douglas Fir, Port Orford & Western Cedars from around the Pacific Northwest. Pegged, mortise & tenon construction, fabrics from the Richard Frinier/Sunbrella Collection, stainless steel hardware and marine finishes. Built to hold up to the elements and passed down for generations.
