Walnut SideboardOur designs are primarily created in a simple Shaker, Mission, or Craftsman style, expressing the themes of Amish life: simplicity, utility, grace, and devotion. This sideboard is an example of one of our most popular pieces. The wood is 100% solid Black Walnut native to Michigan. All of our wood comes from locally sustainable woods and is hand-milled by an individual who takes great care with each and every board he cuts. This sideboard features dovetail construction in that the sides are dovetailed to the top - this is done with a hand saw. The finish includes 4 coats of natural Tried and True oil hand-rubbed in with sanding in between each coat. The result is a satiny smooth finish that is totally non-toxic and easy to maintain.
