Quarter Sawn White Oak Ceramic Tiles This piece is a Stickley reproduction with some custom design modifications for the client. This piece uses traditional arts and crafts features like thru tenon pinned joinery, mortise and tenon spindles, corbels and of course the incredible beauty of the quarter sewn white oak and the medulary ray fleck grain patterns highlighted with a multipart finishing process to really make the ray fleck pop out. The ceramic tiles were picked by the client to match their decor. This is a piece designed and built using old style crafsmanship to be passed down through generations.
With more then 25 years of experience, Don makes use of natural wood colors by utilizing domestic and imported hardwoods and hardwood veneers to add color, texture and interest. The use of bent-form lamination, freeform styles and decorative inlays add additional character and personality to each piece.
