This Chippendale dresser was based very closely on a piece built in Winchester Virginia in the late 1700's. Built with the same details and construction techniques as the original including: hand cut dovetails, wide grain-matched boards, hand carved quarter columns, ogee bracket feet, and cockbeaded drawers with reproduction quality hardware and locks.
Whispering Woodworks is owned by David Beach, a Virginia cabinetmaker who specializes in 18th and 19th century reproduction furniture. I build custom furniture in various styles including: Queen Anne, Chippendale, Shaker and Mission.
