Lady's semallier

Lady's Semallier

In the 17 th and 18 th century in France, every lady's bedroom contained a seven drawered case called a semallier. The one presented here is of carved Birdseye Maple with Wenge accents. The large arched drawers are hand dovetailed, and the Birdseye Maple fronts are also sculpted. The piece has an intricate sculptural top. This piece is 66" x 20" x 18".
