Figured maple chest with ebony
This is perhaps the piece I receive the most compliments on. The legs are figured maple with a macassar ebony molding set on top of them to form the frame for the cabinet. The cabinet is a figured maple veneer with solid edging and the door is a traditional captured panel that has been inlaid with raised maple and ebony. The cabinet has a lock and inside there are several shelves. I am hoping to make another one of these in the near furure with inlaid drawers inside.
