Maple table with Macassar Ebony Top

I have long been intrigued with the richness and darkness of ebony and how it speaks of Africa and the regions of the equator with its' great beauty and mystery. I wanted to display the ebony in the simplest fashion that I could and combine it with an elegant American wood. I used figured maple for the legs and tried to make them as clean as possible. It is definitely one of my pieces that people respond very enthusiastically to.
