 Sycamore buffetI love the furniture of Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, and this piece is in some small measure a tribute. Its form was suggested by the convex/concave fronts of some Hepplewhite sideboards. There are drawers behind the doors, whose fronts are also curved. The pulls are of Corian, the countertop material, carved to match the hexagonal section of the legs, and fastened with silk.
Since 1983 I have built custom furniture of the highest quality, both my own designs and those of other designers, in a number of styles including Art Deco, craftsman, and Chinese.
