
Asian Yin-Yang

The prominent feature of this stand is the Yin-Yang diagram, an Ancient symbol of harmony, that is found on each side.
The diagram is cut from Bubinga Rosewood and is surrounded by a segmented ring of Bocote that was turned on a lathe.
Some Birch inlays focus the eye on the lattice top.
The finish is laquer.

Spalted Beach forms curious patterns in the wood. Four very different patterns are displayed as the central feature on this stand.
The stand is made of solid Bocote and is quite heavy.

This stand is designed to display up to two items, vases, or art objects. The top is a lattice which adds lightness and is resistant to moisture. The bottom features a support with a stabilizing ring.
The stand is composed of exactly 200 hand fitted pieces of wood. Lightness in weight and appearance is achieved by splitting the legs into four separate segments.
The eight diagrams are drawn from ancient Chinese philosophy.
The finish is lacquer.
