Bedroom EnsembleShown here is an Arts and Crafts style bedroom ensemble I made for my daughter and her husband. The headboard/armoire units feature curio lights in both the headboard and armoire units. Also reading lights are installed above the mirrored center section. All lighting switches are easily accessible in the headboard unit. The armoire units have laminated pullout bedside trays. Ample storage is available on the adjustable shelves located in the upper compartments, while two large drawers are located in each of the lower areas of the armoires. The headboard also contains a “secret” compartment. The matching computer/entertainment unit was of my daughter’s design. Due to the size of their bedroom she wanted to combine both a computer work area and place for their TV. Shown here is the result. The unit features a laminated pullout keyboard tray (laminate matches the laminate on the bedside trays in the armoires), two file drawers on the lower right side, curio lighting in the upper units, an area for a 30” flat screen TV, a slide-out removable computer tower area to allow easy access to the back side for hook-ups to the computer. The entire unit is built in six separate modules. This allows for easier installation and movement if necessary. The finish is semi-gloss lacquer over a medium walnut stain.
