This table is made of Mahogany and Black Walnut, and is finished in Danish Oil and Wax. I was commissioned for a customer in the Chicago area in November 2009.
The chess board insert was provided by the customer as was the hardware.
Some key features of this piece are the hand cut half blind dovetail drawers with black Walnut drawer sides. The drawer bottoms are 1/2" black Walnut. The entire piece is solid wood.
