The glass sculpture "Perennial Hush" evokes a pastoral world of cultivated gardens and trees, all composed almost entirely of "frit" (ground, sifted glass fused in a kiln) and individually cut leaves. It is illuminated day or night by a light, recessed in the back of the walnut base, which reflects off the wall behind.
