Originally designed for his Haynes Pope John Paul II on a Pastoral Visit in Boris' home town in 1999. This Gothic style liturgical Throne was hand carved from white oak measuring The back rest highlights the old world Gothic styling of the classic archway along with the relief carvings of doves symbolizing the purity and sanctity of the church captured in the work of the 14th century artisan. You will notice the intricate detailing of the Gothic grapes and leaves, the flowing spirals, as well as the 3 dimensional arm supports detailed through the center. This exquisite piece took for woodcarver Boris Khechoyan approximately 350 hours to complete.
