This vase is very similiar to the other green and blue vase. They are a lovely combination on the mantel. Both vases are completely functional. This vase is also hand thrown on the wheel and fired to cone 6. This high firing temperature ensures strenth and durability in the glaze as well as the clay. The blue glaze along the rim is a speckled rich high gloss surface which bleeds into the motled green semi gloss covering the rest of the piece down to the flared foot.
